Grand Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Nairobi - Tree Hotel: Drive Northwards through the farmlands of the Kikuyu people to reach Mount Kenya and Nyeri in time for lunch at the Outspan Hotel. In the early afternoon, you will drive through the forest to your tree hotel where the night is spent high above the floodlit waterhole and saltlick. Frequent visitors to this area include, elephants, rhino, buffalo, and giant forest hogs.
Day 2: Tree Hotel - Samburu: After breakfast, flank Mt. Kenya and descend into the dry rugged semi-desert where Samburu National Reserve is situated. Harsh, but beautiful, this reserve harbours many species of animals not found in the more lush parks to the south. Afternoon game drive with dinner and overnight at the Samburu Lodge.
Day 3: Samburu National Reserve: T he day is spent exploring this reserve. You certainly will see graceful, reticulated giraffes, Grevy's zebras, elephants, and oryx. All meals and overnight at Samburu Lodge.
Day 4: Samburu - Lake Nakuru: After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru Lodge, stopping en route for a brief look at the magnificent Thomson's Falls. Lunch at Lake Nakuru, before visiting the world famous bird sanctuary and National Park where the sight of a million flamingoes has been described by Sir Peter Scott as, "the world's greatest bird spectacle." There is also much game to be seen at Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara: After breakfast drive across the Maasai Plains to reach the renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces you to the bewildering herds and numerous predators, which have  made the reserve so famous. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.
Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve: A memorable full day of game viewing when it should be possible to see all the "Big Five," as well as hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of lesser known species All meals and overnight at the Keekorok Lodge.
Day 7: Maasai Mara - Nairobi: After Breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive back to Nairobi to arrive in the early afternoon.
